Job Summary

As a System Administrator at We Are Fiber, you will ensure the seamless operation, security, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for monitoring system performance, managing configurations, and ensuring high availability and security for our platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain servers, networks, and IT systems to ensure optimal performance.

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.

Configure and update system software, patches, and hardware as needed.

Ensure robust data backups, recovery protocols, and disaster recovery plans are in place.

Implement and maintain security protocols to safeguard data and IT infrastructure.

Collaborate with other teams to optimize IT processes and infrastructure scalability.

Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.

Provide technical support and training to employees as needed.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a System Administrator or similar role.

Hands-on experience with server administration, virtualization, and networking.

Certifications (preferred):

Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator

CompTIA Server+ or Network+

Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC)

Technical Skills

Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.

Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar.

Networking knowledge, including DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewalls.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

Understanding of IT security frameworks and best practices.
