IT Manager
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced IT Manager to lead our organization's IT operations and strategy. This pivotal role involves overseeing the management, implementation, and maintenance of our IT systems to ensure they align with our business objectives. You will lead a dedicated team of IT professionals, ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of our technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise and a proven ability to drive efficiency, profitability, in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the organization’s IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
Leadership and Team Development: Direct and mentor a high-performing IT team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and innovation.
Strategic IT Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy and technology roadmap that aligns with corporate goals and operational needs, including annual budgeting.
Policy and Compliance Management: Establish and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
Network Security Oversight: Champion a robust cybersecurity posture by developing security policies, managing security operations, and leading internal and external IT audits.
Cost-Benefit Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses of IT investments and vendor partnerships to ensure cost-effectiveness and high-quality service delivery.
Training and Technical Support: Empower employees through comprehensive training programs and provide prompt technical support to resolve issues efficiently.
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and maintain a comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plan, conducting regular testing to ensure operational resilience.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors, negotiating contracts and monitoring performance to ensure service quality and cost-effectiveness.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with executive leadership and operational stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and leverage technology to enhance service quality.
Documentation Management: Create and maintain thorough documentation for all IT systems, policies, and procedures to ensure operational consistency, facilitate knowledge sharing, and support compliance efforts.
Asset Management: Oversee the management of IT assets, including hardware and software inventory, ensuring accurate tracking, maintenance, and lifecycle management to optimize resource utilization and minimize costs.
Qualifications and Skills
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Information Technology, with at least 3 years in an IT management or leadership role.
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of IT systems, software, hardware, and emerging technologies.
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are advantageous. Preferred certifications include ITIL® 4 Managing Professional, PMP®, or CISSP®.
Leadership and Communication: Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
Strategic and Analytical Thinking: Ability to align IT strategies with business goals, anticipate future needs, and make informed decisions to support organizational objectives.
Project Management Proficiency: Strong skills in planning, organizing, and executing IT projects, including resource allocation and risk assessment.
Problem-Solving and Security Management: Excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot complex issues and a solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices and data protection regulations.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)
Master’s degree (MBA or M.S. in a technical field).
Proven experience managing IT operations in a multi-site or global environment.
Familiarity with cloud-native or hybrid-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google).
Demonstrated experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
